The other day N said "I need to play Legos to start the day off right."
On Monday N and I were watching a show about airplanes. I thought this would be a nice way to tell N about my sister's travels, so I explained to him that my sister just left Bangkok on an airplane. To which he replied very nonchalantly "Oh, ya, Mom. I was on a airplane the other day. I went to South of PearPop. They have lots of cheese there." Made me laugh!!
L has discovered his hands and his feet. He found his hands several weeks ago, but he continues to get better at using them. He chews on them all the time. He's at the age where he can see an object, study it for a second, then move his hands together to hold it. I can tell that he has to concentrate on what he's doing each time he draws his hands together to hold something. It's amazing to see him develop. I'm so glad I can be at home with him to see him grow.
Speaking of growing, in the last couple of weeks, L had a big growth spurt! He jumped from a 3 month size clothes to a 6 month size clothes. There is a 3-6 month size clothing in there, but he's already outgrown it. (Thank goodness because I cannot find any of the 3-6 month clothes we used for N when he was a baby. Surely we didn't let him run around in his Birthday suit for three months. Ha!)
As I said above, L has noticed his feet. He's seen them a few times, but now he's made the connection that he can move them and hold them. I like taking his hand and running them over the bottom of his feet so that he's tickling his own feet. He thinks it's funny.
N has been super yucky sick this week. This bug is circulating. It's nasty! I'm doing my best to take care of both boys while not passing N's germs to L.
Stay warm and stay well. -C
